"Rising Storm" is the next release date game in the award—winning "Red Orchestra" franchise. The great gameplay, innovative features and realistic sound and graphics of RO2 are familiar to you in the new Rising Storm game, the plot of which tells about the Pacific theater of operations — with new features, maps, weapons and factions. The player will have the opportunity to visit the islands in the Pacific Ocean in the famous battlefields that took place from 1942 to 1945 between the US Army Marine Corps and the coastal special forces of the Imperial Japanese Army. Players will participate in storming the coast, fighting in the jungle, taking melee at night and much more — on Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima, Saipan and other places of iconic battles. You can fight for either side — America or Japan — over the network in multiplayer mode on servers with a maximum of 64 players simultaneously.

The novelty of the "Rising Storm" gameplay is asymmetric battles. The Americans have an obvious advantage in firepower — thanks to rapid-firing semi-automatic rifles, fully automatic weapons and a terrifying flamethrower. The advantage of the Japanese is the use of gameplay elements that mimic their courage, ferocity and cunning use of equipment. Hand-held mortars allow you to fire at the enemy from closed firing positions, being arbitrarily far away on the map, grenades can be turned into booby traps for careless soldiers. The Japanese pay special attention to close combat: they use a bayonet on almost any weapon — even machine guns and PP. An attack shouting "Banzai!" suppresses the enemy, makes it difficult to return fire and makes it possible to shorten the distance sufficiently to use bayonets and katanas against the enemy.
